Terms of Use

Last updated 5 October 2026.

Needs your input: Written in plain English for clarity and enforceability. Have a lawyer review this before relying on it, and update it if you add new tools (for example Google Analytics or ad tracking).

These terms apply to your use of austechnova.com (the “website”), which is operated by Aus Technova Pty Ltd (ACN 702 091 263, ABN 30 702 091 263) (“Austechnova”, “we”, “us”). By using the website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the website.

1. Our services are covered by a separate agreement

The website gives general information about our services. When you engage us, the services are governed by your proposal or statement of work and our client agreement. If anything in those documents conflicts with these terms, the client agreement wins.

2. General information, not advice

Articles, checklists, tools and other content on the website (including free resources such as our Essential Eight checklist and AI visibility checks) are general information only. They don’t take your particular circumstances into account and aren’t professional, legal, financial or security advice. Please get advice specific to your situation before acting on them. We take care to keep content accurate and current, but we don’t promise that it’s complete, error-free or up to date.

3. Prices and quotes

Prices shown on the website are in Australian dollars, exclude GST unless stated otherwise, and are starting prices or guides. Your actual price depends on your requirements and is confirmed in a written quote or proposal. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless they say otherwise. We may change published prices at any time, but changes won’t affect work you’ve already accepted a quote for.

4. Our 100% satisfaction commitment

We want every client to be completely satisfied with our work. So, on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law:

  • If a deliverable we provide doesn’t meet the scope agreed in your proposal, statement of work or client agreement, tell us in writing within 14 days of delivery and explain what isn’t right.
  • We’ll rework that deliverable at no extra cost until it meets the agreed scope.
  • The commitment covers our own work against the agreed scope. It doesn’t cover new requests or changes in scope (which we’ll happily quote), problems caused by changes made by you or a third party, or third-party products and platforms outside our control.
  • Search engines, AI assistants and advertising platforms make their own decisions, so the commitment relates to the quality of our work, not to specific rankings, traffic, AI mentions, leads or sales.

5. No guaranteed results

We work hard to improve our clients’ visibility and results, but rankings in Google, mentions in AI answers (such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot or Perplexity), advertising performance and business outcomes depend on factors outside our control. Unless a written agreement says otherwise, we don’t guarantee any particular result.

6. Using the website

You agree not to use the website unlawfully, or in a way that could damage, disable or interfere with it, including by attempting unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, scraping it at scale, or sending spam or misleading information through our forms.

7. Intellectual property

The website and its content, including text, graphics, logos and design, are owned by or licensed to Austechnova and protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may view and print pages for your own non-commercial use. Please don’t copy, reproduce or republish our content without our written permission. Ownership of work we create for clients is set out in the client agreement.

8. Third-party links and services

The website may link to, or embed, third-party websites and services. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

9. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can’t lawfully be excluded.

10. Limits on our liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • the website and its content are provided “as is”, and we exclude all warranties and conditions that aren’t expressly set out in these terms;
  • we’re not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of profit, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the website or its content;
  • where our liability for failing to comply with a consumer guarantee can be limited, it’s limited (at our choice) to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again; and
  • our total liability to you in connection with your use of the website (as opposed to services under a client agreement) is limited to AUD $100.

11. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for any loss or cost we reasonably incur because you breach these terms or misuse the website, except to the extent the loss is caused by our own negligence or wrongdoing.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

13. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time by publishing a new version on this page. The version that applies is the one published when you use the website.

14. General

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed, and the rest of the terms will continue to apply. If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
